Market Watch or Quotes shows instruments available to the currently connected account. Showing all symbols does not make an unavailable or ineligible product tradable.
Show symbols on MT4 or MT5 desktop
Open Market Watch or press Ctrl+M if it is hidden.
Right-click inside Market Watch and select Show All to display the symbols currently available to the account.
For a smaller list, right-click and open Symbols, then browse or search and select Show for the required complete symbol.
Search for the complete symbol, including any account suffix.
In MT4's Symbols window, select the complete symbol and choose Properties to view its parameters. In MT4 or MT5, you can also return to Market Watch, right-click that symbol and choose Specification to inspect its current trading conditions.
Add a symbol on the MT4 or MT5 mobile app
Open Quotes.
Use the add-symbol, plus or manage-symbol control shown by the app.
Browse the available groups or search for the complete symbol.
Add or select the symbol, then open its chart or trade controls if required.
Mobile labels vary by MT4 or MT5 version and iOS or Android. If a control is not shown, update the app and use the symbol-management entry available in the current Quotes screen.
Organize the list
To hide one unused symbol, right-click that symbol and choose Hide. Keep symbols needed by open charts, positions or pending orders visible.
In MT4, arrange the visible list, right-click Market Watch, open Sets, and use the save command to name the current symbol set.
In MT5, prepare the symbol list and displayed columns, right-click Market Watch, then choose Symbol Sets → Save as and enter a recognizable name.
To reuse a saved list, choose its name in the same set menu. Recheck the connected account/server and complete symbol names; a set does not add trading permissions.
In MT5, click a column heading to sort the list by that field. Sorting changes the display order.
To add a symbol quickly in MT5, click + below the list, type the complete name and select the matching result. Check any suffix before adding it.
In MT5, keep symbols used by MQL5 programs or Strategy Tester displayed: hidden symbols cannot supply data to those tools.
If the symbol is missing
Confirm the intended account number, MT4 or MT5 and exact assigned server.
Search for the complete symbol and any suffix, not only the base product name.
Use Show All or the symbol-management window.
Check whether the product is available for the account, entity, platform and server.
Do not use a similarly named symbol from another account as a substitute.
If there is no quote or the chart is not updating
Check the platform connection indicator and verify the current account/server.
Return to Market Watch, right-click the complete symbol and open Specification. Check its quoting and trading sessions and current trade mode; having a visible symbol does not mean that new orders are allowed at that time.
Hide and re-add the symbol only if no open chart, position or pending order uses it. Otherwise keep it displayed and continue checking the connection and sessions. Do not close a position or cancel an order just to refresh the list.
Restart and update the platform or app, and try a trusted network.
Do not send an order based on a stale or absent quote.
If an open position or pending order creates immediate exposure and quotes or controls remain unavailable, use the active-trading support route. For non-urgent account-specific review, create a Service Hub ticket under FXTRADING.com Platforms → MetaTrader platforms and provide the account number, platform, server, complete symbol, timestamp and exact behavior without a password or verification code.
