Comprehensive Performance Tracking
The Performance section in your Client Portal provides a detailed overview of your trading activities. This powerful analytics tool helps you evaluate your trading results across the accounts available in the Account selector or focus on specific trading accounts for more targeted analysis.
Key Sections
Summary Dashboard
The Summary section offers a comprehensive view of your trading performance with customizable options:
View aggregated performance across the trading accounts available in the Account selector
Select individual accounts for focused analysis
Choose specific timeframes to analyze performance trends
Access key performance metrics at a glance
The dashboard displays critical data points including:
Net profit/loss figures
Total number of closed orders
Cumulative trading volume
Equity progression over time
An interactive chart visualizes your performance trajectory, making it easier to identify patterns and trends. Note that the chart displays only closed orders, while real-time statistics are available directly in your trading platform.
Order History
The History of Orders section provides a detailed breakdown of your trading activity:
Filter between closed and open orders
Select specific time periods for analysis
View comprehensive details for each transaction
Read the server-time note and its information control; historical event times may use a different server time zone from the current one.
Read the Closed table, then use the expand arrow beside a record to view the additional details available for that record. The table and expanded details can show:
Opening price and opening and closing times
Displayed trading volume
Profit/loss amount
Order reference, Closed by caption, commission and swap
For orders closed due to a stop-out, additional summary information is provided to help you understand what triggered the automatic closure.
In trade-history summaries that combine a position's opening and closing records, Buy/Sell refers to the original opening direction. A position opened as Buy (long) remains Buy after it is closed; a position opened as Sell (short) remains Sell.
Individual executions are different: closing a long position normally produces a Sell deal, and closing a short position normally produces a Buy deal. In an MT5 Deals view, read Buy/Sell together with whether the deal opens, closes or reverses a position. A closing Sell deal does not mean the original position was short.
Trading Protection Benefits
Depending on your region and interface, the benefits section may display recorded trading-protection or account-review information:
Stop Out Protection: Shows instances where this feature prevented premature position closure during volatile market conditions
Negative Balance Protection or Clearing: Displays a recorded protection, review, or clearing outcome when this information is available
A displayed record is historical account information, not confirmation that a future negative balance will be cleared. Under the current policy, clearing is not automatic and eligibility is assessed across the account holder's entire profile.
Analytical Value
The Performance section serves as a valuable tool for:
Evaluating trading strategies over different timeframes
Identifying strengths and weaknesses in your trading approach
Making data-driven decisions to improve future performance
Maintaining detailed records for accounting and tax purposes
By regularly reviewing your performance metrics, you can gain deeper insights into your trading patterns and make more informed decisions to optimize your trading strategy.
